I resigned from the day job

I resigned from my day job…

Five and a ½ years ago I started working for my ‘day job’. I was an integral staff member of the organisation and I loved the job…at first!

After numerous job cuts and restructures, the place and people changed. The last 12 months can only be described as a living nightmare.

Being a responsible wife, mother and employee I began to grit my teeth and just plough on.

Do the job I was paid to do and go home feeling empty and unfulfilled.

Making the Decision

So, whilst having a week off and having lengthy conversations with family and friends, I decided to throw in the towel to employment and get the flags out for full self-employment.

It has been a LOOOOONG time coming, put it that way.

Leaving the Day Job

I left today and feel like the whole world has been lifted off my shoulders.

I never thought handing in a resignation letter and saying goodbye would be so refreshing to my mind and soul.

Now the hard work really starts, getting Lady Saddler up and fully loaded and earning the living I am used to.

It will be hard, and the hours will be long I don’t doubt that for a second but the best things about all that is that all the effort will be for ME and my FAMILY and not a manager or CEO in sight.

I wish the employer well, I truly do.

There are some good people who are still there and I shall miss some of them a lot, but my journey with The Lady Saddler has only just started getting really exciting and I cannot wait to see what 2018 will bring.

I even brought a cake to celebrate hehe 🤣🎈🎉🍸
